June 11 - Michael Allen Harrison- We continue the long-standing tradition of kicking off the Brown Bag Concert Series with concert pianist Michael Allen Harrison. Michael is a northwest producer, composer and arranger and is returning for his 17th year to perform at our Brown Bag Concert Series. THIS concert will take place at the First Baptist Church, 125 NE Cowls St, McMinnville
June 18 - Sky Bound Blue- Sky Bound Blue is the duo Jenny and Matt Behnke based right here in McMinnville. The married couple play an eclectic Americana blend with a generous dollop of grit and soul and a splash of Nashville inspired bluegrass roots. The Behnkes spent thirteen years in the Nashville area working with some of city’s finest writers and players and have recently returned home to the Northwest to continue honing their craft.
July 2 - Weather Machine- With its strong ties to the region, the band roots itself firmly in a Pacific Northwest folk aesthetic, but holds on tight to a hard-hitting love for alt-rock. The result is wonderfully hard to categorize – The Weather Machine has been compared to everything from The Kinks, to Josh Ritter and Hey Marseilles.
July 9 - Jeremy Moll & Aimee Palacios- These local artists will sweep you off your feet with their mesmerizing voices and sultry lyrics.
July 16- Golden Bough - Rooted in the traditional music of the seven Celtic nations (Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, The Isle of Man, French Brittany and Spanish Galicia), Golden Bough has become a popular and in-demand group on both sides of the Atlantic. Since their formation in 1980, this trio of modern day minstrels has traveled great distances to numerous countries, to bring their music to enthusiastic folk fans the world over.
July 30 - Western Flyers- - One of the most exciting new bands to glide on to the music scene in years. Their unique brand of music is a cross section of the Great American Songbook: classic Western swing, Hot jazz & Swing standards, toe tapping Cowboy songs and electrifying Old-time fiddle tunes. Guitarist Joey McKenzie, McMinnville born and raised, is back in town and sure to draw a huge crowd! *This is an evening concert.
July 24 - Hill Dogs- They are big-hearted, fire-breathing folk rockers. Rich, honest lyrics, soaked in beautiful harmonies are kept afloat by gritty grooves. The group hails from Oregon! *This is an evening concert.
