McMinnville residents know summer has arrived with the start of the Thursday Farmers' Market and Brown Bag Concerts. It's become a weekly tradition for residents and visitors alike to kick back during the lunch hour and enjoy live music with artists performing everything from Celtic to blues, jazz to folk, and swing to Latin. The remainder of the afternoon can be spent meandering through the Farmers' Market where you'll find fresh produce, plants, hand-cured meats and cheeses, and fresh baked breads - with many vendors offering certified organic products. The Market also includes a number of crafters offering items such as jewelry, bath products, garden art and furniture. The Brown Bag Summer Concert Series runs from June to August. Farmers' Market starts late May and closes mid-October. We can't think of a better reason to roll into town a day before the weekend kicks in.
